Incomplete Syncing

So this is an enduring issue since Apple required us to sync via Finder.

Few months ago, music was the only thing that would sync correctly with my phone, where as pictures would go from my phone to computer but not vice versa. Now, pictures are the ones that'd sync to my phone, whereas music (including updated playlist) would not follow.

I also noticed that songs I purchased from iTune store recently would no be on my computer, instead they'd be stored in the cloud until I create a playlist, so I manually created lists for new songs and tried to sync again. Nothing. What's even more odd now is that my photos stop syncing afterwards, retains the most recent addition but refuses to take in more pictures.

Some info to consider:

1) I sync with cable.

2) I don't use iCloud for music/photos.

3) I still have 15GB space on the phone.

Does anyone else have this (long-term) problem?

Hi Cyberium_neo,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having some issues with syncing via Finder, and I'd like to do what I can to help.

Anytime songs are purchased from your iOS device such as an iPhone, you'll need to redownload those items to add to your music library. Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books

By setting to have playlist items added to your music library is one way to work around that. Another would be to only purchase music from your Mac, then sync the music to your iPhone.

Photos can be synced from Mac to iPhone, but not the other way. You can transfer photos to your Mac from your iPhone, by following these steps: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Photos synced to an iPhone, can only be removed via syncing also. Take a look at the Finder information, to make sure the steps are followed as shown: Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

I hope this helps!

Enjoy your day!
