MacBook Pro 2019 Touch Bar Unresponsive

Hello,

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch July 2019 with Touch Bar!

The Touchbar is totally lit and functional, it changes from app to app like usual and is visibly working perfectly, however totally unresponsive. I try to press buttons and none of it works, its frozen.

I tried restarting the computer and ending the process in activity monitor but none of it works!

Help!

I need those keys!

Hello dnipma,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand the Touch Bar isn't responding. I'll gladly do what I can to get the Touch Bar responding again.

Try these general steps:

Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart.
Reset the SMC which controls power to the Touch Bar: How to reset the SMC of your Mac
To narrow it down, also be sure to check your Mac in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac You can also try a new user as well: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
- If it only happens in your user and not in safe mode, try removing login items that control the Touch Bar: Open items automatically when you log in on Mac
- If it happens in both safe mode and a new user, back up your Mac and reinstall macOS using Recovery which will also reinstall the necessary system files used with the Touch Bar.: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery
