My Macbook info

I am using a Mac book bro Model A1278. I could see in the box came along with the

MacBook showing manufacturing date as September 2015 but with the serial number

in the apple support/about this Mac shown as Mid 2012. How can this be

possible? how can we rectify this?

The "Mid-2012" is the model of the laptop not the year you purchased it.
