iphone 11 paint chipping

yup you should have heard about the iPhone 7 paint chipping and I can DEFINITELY say it’s a very big issue. It happen on my fiends iPhone 7 and now my NEW iphone 11 . I feel very disappointed I handled it with utmost care. paint chipping started with the anodised aluminium near the camera lens then it increased and increased and even spread to other parts of my iPhone such as the charging port and also the SIM card tray and many spots on the side. It’s very disappointing as I had a case on it all the time and it has only been 4 months since I bought it . I have even went to a authorised repair centre and they said it’s cosmetic issue but it’s still a issue which I am very sure not caused by me and it was problem caused by Apple so I am very disappointed a expensive phone from a well know company sells phones with this issue and says is cosmetic and caused by wear and tear by the user but it I am 100 percent sure it was not caused by me. The white spots keep on increasing, but for apple it’s only a cosmetic issue. But for me its a big issue I keep my phone very safe as I worked very hard for it as I used all my savings on it

is there any way I can fix this issue and if you also have this issue plz share this thanks:)

yes. I also mine also a lot of chips around the camera lens. I called Apple they say it’s a cosmetic issue, I went to a authorised repair shop they also say cosmetic . I am very angry about this but I Guess there is nothing I can do about it. I have been buying Apple products Since the first iPhone and now I am going to change to Samsung because Apple is becoming worse and worse. I wasted so much of my time visiting repair centres, calling Apple, texting and emailing them but they won’t do any thing about it.

You’d expect a $1,100AUD for me to at least to have no cosmetic issues. My iPhone 11 Product red model has the same issue... It’s unacceptable that Apple charge such high prices for iPhones that should have no “cosmetic issues”. That’s an excuse, and they know it. I generally enjoy Apple products, but it’s still unacceptable for many of their consumers that bought iPhones. And it’s not just 1 iPhone. Issues with the iPhone 7, 11, probably the 12 and god knows how many there might be.

I thought I was alone! My iPhone11 is just two months and there were scratches all over the camera ring lens! It makes me really upset every time I look at it. I have been very careful with my phone and it has a case too. I tried buying a camera lens protector but it destroys the quality of the photo so I took it anyway. I don’t understand and don’t know what to do to prevent the scratches anymore.

It's not a patina. Patinas form on bare metals, not painted surfaces... It's obviously a defect. I'm noticing a pattern though - it only seems to happen on aluminum parts and the only colors affects seem to be blue, red, and black. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and I'm not having the issue. I've had my phone for about 9 months. It's graphite in color. What I'm wondering is this: Are the rings on the 12 Pro stainless steel or aluminum? If they're stainless, that would lend some weight to the idea that it's only happening on painted aluminum. I don't understand why there are so many people insinuating that folks have caused the damage to their phones. It seems very clear to me after having read completely through 2 different posts on the matter that these phones are generally very well taken care of. I seriously doubt this problem has anything at all to do with the mishandling of the phones.

I totally agree with you.I have checked almost all the articles and it doesn't mention anywhere whether the camera ring on the 12 pro is aluminium or stainless steel.I had to sell my iphone 12 in black as the paint peeling began to get real worse and it was super noticeable.Never getting an aluminium iphone again. All the pro variants maintain their finishes even after years of use so now I feel that they are worth it.
