In my "mails sent" is mentioned "block mail"

L.S.

I have a strange problem with sending and receiving mails:

  • E-mails I sent: in the copy of such e-mails my e-mail address is replaced by "block SIM"

But it seems that my e-mail address is correctly shown on the mail the receiver gets (no "block SIM, but my e-mail address, as usual.

  • E-mails I do receive in answer to my e-mails, do show on top "block SIM".

I wonder what causes this strange behaviour?

Yesterday I had to replace the SIM-card in my iPhone at a computershop, because my SIM-card suddenly stopped functioning.

How to correct all of this back to normal?.

Hi Muizen,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with your email address. From what you’re describing it sounds like your email address may be saved on your own device as “block SIM.” I suggest taking a look at your contact card and adjusting as necessary:

Add your contact info on iPhone - Apple Support

I suggest also checking to see if your email address has been saved under another contact with that as the label:

Edit contacts on iPhone - Apple Support

If I’m misunderstanding your issue, please provide additional information, including a screenshot of the behavior if you have one.

Take care.

I indeed found on my iPhone "bookSIM" as a card.

After removing this card the problem was solved.

Thank you very much for your professional help!

But, problems never do come alone:

1) I created chaos on iMac, not knowing that my Azerty keyboard was changed to Qwerty, resulting in wrong passwords and finally an iMac I can not start up anymore because of password problem.

In recovery mode I finally managed to create a new startup password, but at the end I got the message:

"The supplied icloud account was unable to unlock this device".

Have no idea what I can do now?

2) I then tried to use my "Time Machine System Restore"

However I am now asked for a password to unlock the Macintosh HD

I didn't know that there is a password for this HD.!

I then tried all passwords I ever created for all kinds of reasons, but none is accepted.

Do you have any idea what the problem is and how to solve this?

Thank you for helping me!

Harry
