How to share "Sign in with Apple" app aubscriptions

This question is about how to share "Sign in with Apple" app subscriptions.

Specific "Sign in with Apple" app: New York Times (NYT)

Problem: I can't read my pre-paid "Sign in with Apple" NYT subscription on our "family" iPad.

Current behavior:

Apple ID #1 is my own Apple ID; installed on 3x devices (1x iPhone and 2x "business" computers)-- It is the NYT "subscriber" ID and reliably signs into the NYT app subscription from all Apple ID #1 devices.

Apple ID #2 is my spouse's AppleID; installed on 2x devices (1x iPhone and the "family" iPad)

Apple ID #1 - as "Family Organizer" - has shared App Store Purchases w/ Apple ID #2.

However, there appears to be no means for an Apple ID #2 device to sign-in to the NYT app subscription.

The ONLY apparent option presented on an Apple ID #2 device is to create - and pay for - an entirely NEW subscription using Apple ID #2.

Is it not possible to share "Sign in with Apple" app subscriptions ?

Looking forward to any/all comments and suggestions.
