airport time capsule 3t not allowing me to copy to or from

I have been using my airport time capsule 802.11 ac 3T as my hard drive backup (not as a time capsule) for several years now and it was working great. Since last week I have been unable to copy to or from the time capsule to any computer.

The airport utility is up to date version 6.3.9. according to apple's most recent recommended versions.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Thank you.

A few questions, if you don't mind:

  1. When attempting to copy files to/from your Time Capsule (TC), are you using the Finder app?
  2. Are these files on the TC's internal drive or to an external drive attached to its USB port?
  3. Are you getting any error messages? If so, what are they?
  4. Do you have the TC mounted as an SMB or AFP share? You can tell by using the following command in the Terminal app after the TC is mounted to your Mac's Desktop: smbutil statshares -a
  5. Did you recently update any software on your Mac?
  6. What are you using to access the TC's file share: Macs, Windows PCs, Linux PCs iOS devices, etc.? What respective versions of operating systems are each of these running?
  7. Finally, what have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this other than posting here?
