Problem SCO codec microphone airPod Mac os

I Would like to know why the airPods works great with my iPhone or iPad but default to SCO Codec when I use them on my Mac? Don't have this problem with wired headphones. Yes I want to make FaceTime or Teams calls with my airPod. No I don't want to use the Mac built-in Microphone. I think this should be fixed by now. Would like to use AAC or something better than SCO.

AirPods Max on Mac We really need airpod hearing accommodations settings on Mac. I really thought something wrong with my Macs bluetooth connection until I realize that main problem is there is no hearing accommodations settings on mac every time I switch between my mac and iPhone sound characteristic changes so much please fix it.

AirPods Pro low audio quality when using videoconference apps in MacOS Hi everyone, I will try to answer to a few questions unsolved I've found related to the bad audio quality when using your AirPods Pro in a Mac with videoconference apps, like Zoom or WebEx or Microsoft Tems. The problem is related to the audio coded. Essentially, the crux of this issue is that when you’re using AirPods for a voice or video call on MacOS, AirPods switch over to Bluetooth’s SCO (Synchronous Connection-Oriented) codec to handle the audio input and output, which tanks the overall audio quality. However, by manually selecting your Mac’s internal microphone as the primary input device, you allow AirPods to switch off SCO, and the quality improves. Another solution is to force the bluetooth coded. None... just want to use video conferencing software... and not sound like 8khz am radio.
