Unable to sync pictures from Huawei devices camera to IOS Catalina

I used to replicate very easily Photos from my Huawei P20, using the camera mode with a USB cable, but since I upgraded my MacMini to Catalina (IOS 10.15) it started to report "No Photos".

I already tried with my son's mobile (Huawei P30) and it's the same situation. I also tried to connect to my ipad Pro (11 inch) 13.3.1 version and it happens the same.

I find other questions related to people unable to connect they Huawei Phones using SMB so I'm wondering if Apple started to ban Huawei devices on newer versions of IOS or Mac OS?

Is there any way to remediate it?

Appreciate your thoughts on this

Thank you, the only way to workaround my problem was to copy my pictures using Android File Transfer Application for MAC OS to a local folder on my MAC and the importing to to my Photos Library on Apple Cloud Library.

Also I found that using the App HiSuite from Android you can transfer information to the Apple computer, but you lose several details during the export like the original date when the photo was taken. That is no desirable for me, I prefer the previous method of the mobile emulating a Camera Mode.

Any clue about when the import with camera mode will be fixed?

Hello Striker2303,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities, and it appears there are issues syncing photos using Image Capture. I'll do what I can to help.

First, try taking a new photo on your phone and try syncing again: Transfer images in Image Capture on Mac

If you still don't see new images, restart both your device and the Mac from the Apple () menu then try transferring again.
