For ages I couldn't get my iPhone X to sync to my Mac over Wi-Fi, so I tried disabling the Firewall on my Anti-Virus software and my iPhone popped up in the 'Locations' tab on my sidebar and I was successfully able to sync my phone over Wi-Fi.
I turned the Firewall back on and it doesn't sync. How do I set my Firewall up to allow my iPhone to show up and Sync via Wi-Fi?

Uninstall your antivirus app.
If you're Mac is behind a router you don't need to turn on the Firewall. The router will prevent any access to your Mac.
If you have a laptop and use it "on the road" then definitely turn on the Firewall.
There are no viruses for Macs and the malware/adware that affects Macs are installed when the user inadvertently clicks on some link to let it install. Routers prevents any outsider from accessing your computer.
My Mac's firewall doesn't prevent the Wi-Fi syncing, so would that still provide a similar protection to my Anti-Virus one if i kept it on?
