External microphone with iOS in Zoom or Facetime

Hello,

I'm trying to find information about using an external microphone for iOS (iPad or iPhone 8+) that can be used in the Zoom app or Facetime.

I'd like to be able to use an external interface (eg. USB mixers like the Behringer XR12, Yamaha AG06, etc.) so that I can plug in two or more mics to work in Garageband (which I know does work), but I'd also like to be able to use a mic or two in Facetime or Zoom conferences for teaching music lessons. That, or to simplify, will a Blue Yeti, or any USB mic work in Facetime or Zoom?

So far I haven't found anything even remotely close to an answer.

Anyone try this at all?

Hello,

This setup works in GarageBand as it was designed to provide a way to select an audio input source. Applications like FaceTime or Zoom are not setup to allow users to select an audio input source. iPad is designed to automatically use any external audio interfaces when they are connected meaning that if you connect just 1 microphone to your iPad then it will automatically be used.
