Started about two days ago: When i select the Google app from the home page, the search box comes up as it should. In 25 seconds it times out and reverts to the home page, regardless if I'm typing or not. I've installed new software, 13.4.1. No change. Checked my wife's phone; behaves as it should. I've moved the Google app to a different physical location on the home page. No change.

Got hold of Apple support. Delete the Google app from the home page. Go to App Store, reinstall Google. Reestablish you settings from within the Google app.
