Using "Find My" app - one person ~ 2 phones

My husband has 2 phones (a work phone and a personal phone) when one is added to my "people" list, the other one disappears. Can you tell me why? Lately he has been losing both of his phones a lot and he wants me to locate his phone using my Find My Friends app and it never fails ~ only one of his phones is being recognized and its always the wrong one. Why can't I see both of his phones? Is it possible that this is happening because he has his personal phone linked to his work phone? In other words all calls to his personal phone roll over to his work phone.

Any feedback is appreciated

Hello Stacey444,

If I'm understanding you right, your husband has two iPhone devices but you're only able to locate one of them using the Find My app. I'd like to help you out with this.

You will only be able to see the location for whichever iPhone they have set to share their location at that particular time. You can view more on this in Find friends and share your location with Find My, specifically the "Share your location" section. If he wants to change the device that is sharing its location he will need to open the Find My app on that device, select the Me tab, and then choose "Use this iPhone as My Location".

If he would like to locate both iPhone devices at the same time, he can do so using iCloud.com/find. View more information on how to do that here: Locate a device in Find My iPhone on iCloud.com. He can also locate both iPhone devices using the Find My app on a device that is signed in with the Apple ID he uses on his iPhone.
