iPad Pro Magic Keyboard and YouTube App

I just got the magic keyboard and am enjoying it. I noticed that if I access YouTube in Safari, I can pause a video with the space bar, move forward/backwards with the arrows, and scrobble through with the keypad. However, if I open the YouTube app, none of the keyboard functions or trackpad scrobbling works. I updated the YouTube app, which did not solve the problem. I’m assuming that YouTube has to update the app so that the new keyboard works with the app.

Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this in the YouTube app.
