Magic keyboard use while using sidecar?

I just got my new magic keyboard for my iPad 12.9 inch pro and absolutely love it. I noticed that the keyboard and trackpad do not work while using sidecar. Does anyone know if this is possible? If not, I’d hope it’d be a software fix down the road.

Sidecar supports use of the Ipad onscreen keyboard, multitouch and even a simulation of the touchbar, so the statement "it goes Macbook to Ipad, not Ipad to Macbook" is clearly wrong.

Apple, please extend support of the Magic Keyboard trackpad for use with Sidecar, so that we can fully utilize Ipad Pro as both a remote screen and input device.

It wouldn't work.

The Ipad when using sidecar is a second screen. Which means 95% of the input on the Ipad screen will come from the MacBook other than Apple Pencil and a few other gestures.

The Ipad is just a second screen for your MacBook. So the magic keyboard wouldn't work.

Remember it goes MacBook to Ipad not Ipad to MacBook, so the MacBook is the main device

Well it doesn't support the on screen keyboard, but ok. It goes MacBook to iPad and thats it.

When you say - "apple, please extend"
