I pad 2 facetime

Hi crew, i am trying to get my old ipad going on face time so i can give to aged mum so we can facetime. its a A1396 wifi/gsm 32g model. Facetime works on wifi just not on gsm, HELP PLEASE

See especially the footnotes here. On an iPad 2, only wi-fi supports FaceTime.
