I just got a new iPhone XR and I’ve been trying to get everything transferred to it from my old iPhone and it’s on the last stage of me having to update the phone. I’ve been trying to do the update for five hours now and it’s taking longer than the last phone I transferred. I don’t know what else to do.

If you still can’t activate the phone, try contacting your carrier or Apple for help. There is a contact link for Apple at the end of the article.
Restart the phone and then try again. Hold the side button until the slide to shut off bar appears, then slide to power down. Then hold the side button until you see the Apple logo on the screen and let go and let the phone start up. Then try the update again.
Thanks! I did that and now my phone won’t activate and I don’t know why either I didn’t have this much trouble the first time I transferred my stuff
