Mirrored RAID Rebuild at "0.0%"...

Hello...

I just replaced a failed disk in my RAID set with a brand-new disk (8TB Seagate External - exact same model as the one I already have). I added it to my set (it was "successful" according to MacOS High Sierra) but the "Rebuilding" has been stuck at "0.0%". After a few minutes, my Mac freaks out and completely restarts on its own. When it fully boots, my Mac marks the newly-added disk as "FAILED" in my RAID set. I have no idea why this keeps happening. It's just a loop I am in that I cannot get out of. Is there anyone who might be able to help me out?

Mac mini, macOS 10.12
