Request Password to turn off Phone
Hello Apple,
In a time like this, where health and security have become the most pressing needs, I’ll suggest that there is a security feature added to iPhone and all other apple devices to aid the functionality of the “Find My” App.
The “Find My” app though a very useful tool, can not be utilized to safeguard or recover assets when the phone/IPad is switched off.
Suggestion 1: Apple should consider adding a feature that requests password before switching off phones, to prevent burglars from absconding with phones without being tracked within a reasonable timeframe. This will enable the Apple device owner to track the device with the “Find My” App more effectively.
Suggestion 2: Create a feature that allows the GPS to remain on for about 24hrs after turn off to allow the utilization of the “Find My” app to recover the device.
I acknowledge the fact that there is already a feature of the iCloud lock already embedded in all Apple devices. Great Job! Great Innovation 👍🏽.
I also acknowledge the fact that all measures have been put in place to protect user data.
The objective here however is essentially to safeguard devices.
I hope the reaches you.
