Wife phone won’t charge on mophie charger , but mine does
Mine works fine but you need to place it down carefully and move it slightly if you don't get confirmation feedback from the device.

What model iPhone you, and your wife using? Also, is she using iphone case?
8 plus , yes but took off case and still didn’t work

What iOS are you running on your phone? You should be using the most current iOS 13.4.1. Several updates ago, Apple released one that addressed wireless charging issues on some phones. If you aren't updated, you may have missed this update, which might solve your issue.
