iPad login

I have an old iPad I want to use again. The Apple ID is no longer in use and when I try to login using my new Apple ID it says I need to login with the original ID used when I first set up my old iPad.

You have encountered Activation Lock. For you to remove it, you need to use the old Apple ID and password to open the iPad. Then you can restore it, and re-activate it with the new Apple ID and password. Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support
