Does it get approved? Maybe an Apple software glitch? I get the same sort of thing sometimes when I am using my Catalina MBA. I have to reestablish its trustworthiness and trust the browser I am using again.
So it never gets approved. In my case my so-called new device gets approved. Do you have the opportunity to input the approval code on another device?
I've done that too. I've untrusted the device and did the whole process again and it still wants an approval even though it is showing as trusted in my appleid. When did they change that you can not turn off two factor verification?
