Time Machine deleted all my backups randomly...??

I just logged into my computer and got a notification that I hadn't backed up in 1333 days. However, that's impossible because my Time Machine is set to automatic and it backs up daily, every time I'm on my mac. I even hear the noise of the Time Machine as it goes off every date backing up.

What happened????
