This MM is running as a blind server doing backups and such things. At the time of the picture it was doing nothing and that sate was like that for many hours. It did not stop.

There is one external USB HD attached to the third (seen from the left) USB3 port.

Any ideas?

Hello. My Mac is running very slowly and has been doing so for a long time. Hello. My Mac is running very slowly and has been doing so for some time. I have tried cleaning it up with CleanmyMac but it doesn't seem to make any difference. On restarting the Mac, it can take 5 minutes to start up and render the 40 or so files on the desktop. Programmes take several minutes to open and often crash before opening. Web pages take a long time to open - several minutes for the simplest of pages that have been loaded before. Likewise, trying to open Word or Excel files from Finder takes several minutes. I have run an Etrecheck report on it which is attached. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Macbook Air slow - need help to analyses EtreCheck Hi, My Macbook Air is quiet slow. Typically the Finder need ~1s to change folder even when their is no other app running. Sometimes their is more serious lag, but mostly is just a bit slow on various task that seem pretty low CPU or IO intensive. I can't spot a particular process that eat all my CPU, but kernel_task is always around 10-25%. I did an Etrecheck, but didn't find something particular. I hop someone can help. Thanks.

well I did a restart and that seems to have solved it. still found it worrying as the fans where going crazy.

I don't know, but did you try killing those processes or a restart? Do they come back?
