Logic Pro X - Time and Pitch Machine not available

Nope, you're still referring to the ORIGINAL Apple loop. You're making a copy of the region containing the original Loop.

Open it in file editor. Save as copy. then drag that copy into your project. Now it's an independent copy. If your T&P is greyed out, you haven't made a copy of the audio file.

If you option drag it's still referring to the original Apple Loop which is why it's still greyed out.

Do what Wilddrums has said. Make a copy, call it a different name, so it differentiates from the Apple Loop.

Time and Pitch Machine is file function. Work on a copy of the Audio Apple Loop file to use T&PM.

I don't even show the time and pitch machine in the list under the Functions drop down menu. I've converted the track to a file.

I'm sure it's something small I'm just overlooking.

I did, but I didnt compress this file, just a normal audio Apple loop

I made a copy by option dragging the loop, but I still have the same problem, T & PM is still greyed out

thank you, I looped the 1 loop then I pressed control L to make copies, none of which worked with the t&P function still greyed out!

I just opened it in File Editor, pressed copy, then created a new track, tried to paste it in to that track and got this messageI

I just 'SAVED A COPY' in the file editor to my desk top with a different name, then dragged it back in to the project, T&P is still greyed out!
