Iphoto still running

Fotos for ios is great and for macs also

why am i stil running iphoto ?

sorry let me explain ...

Iphoto is a native program it was delivered a long time ago with one of the early versions of macbooks and imacs under i life.

Its a mix between lightroom (adobe) and fotos

Iam ussing a digital camera for those who love that too iphoto it hase more professional twist creating import from youre camera too the macs

And also iphone users can benefit from it cleaning there phone organise there photos whithout ussing photo's so no icloud needed?? thats the in my eyes the only answer why apple quit the program let me say some things did change since the greatest man of apple died some of the more complete package of apple also.

in every way apple is stil the best even whithout iphoto or many other things.

but like some one great once told its not all about the money.

I love iphoto sadly apple didnt upgrade it any more mostly because it wasnt commercial enough thats why i love it

It can not be used on catalina (yes it can by change things in the imac on a 32 bit extendend program) i would not advice it

but al the other os yes mojave high sierra and sierra enz

integration of facebook icloud mail and flickr don't work this has all to do with choosing to not update one of the best things any more.

In the future apple will lose more ... please apple make the iphoto program alive again for macbooks macbook pro and imac and the pro imacs.

So that we dont need to spend our money on adobe.

To describe iPhoto as a mix between Lightroom and Photos is to seriously underestimate the power of Lightroom. Also, frankly, Photos is far more powerful than iPhoto ever was.

You can import to Photos in exactly the same ways as you could to iPhoto, plus you have more ways. You do not need to use the iCloud Photo library at all. See? Photos is more powerful than iPhoto. More flexible.

So, I'm not sure you've grasped what Photos is, or how it works.

You don't have to give your money to Adobe, there are plenty of other software makers in this space, depending on your needs and preferences.
