Delete AirPlay device

Hello,

I recetly bought an LG Smart television. I connected it with to my iPhone XR, it worked fine. Unfortunately I had to bring back the TV and get a new one, as it was faulty. I connected the new TV to my iPhone, and again, it's woring perfectly, but I can't seem to delete my old TV from my AirPlay device list. It just stuck there, I can even see it with my new TV turned off, and now I can't use the Airplay function properly (since I can only see my old TV, I can't turn the new TV on just by connecting to it via AirPlay) I went through all settings, but couldnt find anything where I could delete this old device.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick answer!

I'm afraid this would only work with an Apple TV device. In fact, I've just tried it, and the Remote doesn't even see the the television (phone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network). I'm guessing because it's not an Apple TV, just a regular LG smart TV - although HomeKit and AirPlay compatible.

You are unable to delete your old TV because you are opening Airplay from the control center.

Open the Remote app ➔ Devices ➔ Edit and then tap on the RED circle to the right of the device you want to delete and then choose UNPAIR.

If you do not have the Remote app then you may download it from the App Store ➔ Apple TV Remote.
