Will I still be able to use my AppleCare that I purchased?

I have recently bought my phone off of Facebook marketplace and my phone was still eligible for apple care so I purchased it. However I noticed something mentioned about having to have my iphones receipt which I don’t have. Will I still be able to use my AppleCare that I purchased?

Okay, so that changes things a bit - you bought it in cash? From a guy you don't know? Did he follow all of the instructions here:

The reason I am asking is that it may have been a notification from Apple directed at the original owner. Or was it addressed to YOU and did you use YOUR Apple ID when you bought it?

This situation is very unusual and I would certainly contact Apple asap to ask them - if the Applecare is not valid, you can get a refund.

Since we are all other users here and do not work for Apple, this is something you'd need to ask them to make sure. If you bought it off Facebook, then you should have some sort of receipt.

And, more importantly, did Apple allow you to buy it - meaning they examined it (in person) or ran diagnostics via remote? And, after that, they will send you an acceptance/registration; that will also show when you check your device's coverage - did you check that?

I'm a little confused. Did the iPhone that you bought on Facebook still have Apple coverage remaining or do you have a phone now that has coverage and you want to use it with the new one? If the phone you bought has coverage you do not necessarily need the receipt as long as it was originally purchased from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller.

So I bought this iPhone 11 from a guy through Facebook marketplace, he had only used it for about a month before he upgraded to a Max pro. When I bought it in person there was no receipt anyways, when I set it up I received a notification saying I still have 2 months saying I could purchase Apple care on this device.

Moving forward I purchased it but then it said something about having the original receipt of the phone in order to use Apple care. However like I said I was still able to purchase it and as of now on my Apple account it says my apple care is active however I was just worried I wouldn’t be able to use it sense I don’t have the receipt for this phone.

Yes he did follow the rules and regulations. When I first turned on the phone it was as if it was brand new I had to set it up with my account/ set it up as if it was a new phone. After I set it up it had notified me that my device still has like 30 days to register for AppleCare so I went ahead and registered my phone for it. In my account it says that my phone is under AppleCare.
