Airpods 2 with wireless charging case intermittently charge the airpods??

Hi,

My Airpods 2 with wireless charging case intermittently charge the airpods when kept on a Qi Wireless Charging pad.

I tried on 3 and the latest one is the huawei CP60 5V - 12 V 2 A max rated wireless charger. They would start charging for 7-10 mins then automatically stop charging. I then have to pick them up for 5 seconds and re place them on the mat and the same behavior. What could be the issue? Pls help?

So I tried 2 things.

Reseting.

2. Making sure the AirPods are 100% and case is like 30% to test as per some reports online.

Not working still.

Is it something to do with the Aluminum hinge which acts as a metal for the wireless mat?

Or there is a case issue?

I saw reports of similar problems with couple of others as well.

So I tried everything and went to apple service centre. They replaced my case with a refurbished one (I guess). Still the same problem after i came home and tested. The case becomes too warm in 5 mins that it automatically disconnects with the wireless charging mat. I tried with 3 different QI certified mats. Is it a coil issue or i need a different specs of charging mat like a 1 W or 3 W or 5 W??
