MacBook Pro brightness not changing

Hi helper/reader,

I have a MBP Mid 2012 running macOS Catalina 10.15.2 . Recently, I was unable to change my brightness in any circumstance. Even I saw no slider in Display Preferences to change it manually. Someone please help me to change it.

The buttons themselves work, that is, you can see the brightness change icon on the screen, but the brightness does not change. I have been using brightness slider for a long time. After loading Catalina I can no longer change the screen brightness I have a 2018 MacBook Pro. After loading Catalina the screen brightness can no longer be changed. Anyone else having this issue?

Brightness adjustment doesn't work since I updated my MBP 2017 Hey There, After I updated my MacOs to Big Sure It stopped functioning it shows me in the touch bar that it going up and down but nothing happening on the screen itself. I tried reinstalling Catalina and it worked. but once I update it to the latest version which is Big Sur 10.6 it stops working. Please I searched everywhere for the solution but none helped me.

Try an NVRAM reset:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
