FaceTime gray?

Same contact, I can FaceTime on my phone and my Mac, but not on my iPad. Only one contact that I am aware of, unfortunately it is my 87 year old mother. Help please?

FaceTime and iPad - can FaceTime with some apple devices and not others Hello...my daughter has an iPad model no. MF432X/A (if that's any help at all) - may be iPad 2. It's several years old now. She is able to easily FaceTime from her iPad some friends with Apple devices, but not others also with Apple devices. Those she can't contact on her iPad can be contacted through FaceTime on my iPhone. It seems a bit strange and random that some are contactable from the iPhone but not the iPad. I'm probably missing something but can't work out where the problem lies. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks

ipad facetime hi so my little brother has an ipad 4 mini, and he is able to facetime everyone in his contact list besides our mom, i’m not sure why that is but it says connecting until it disconnects

Thanks. I’ve gone through that, but didn’t find any solutions. Just got off a 90 minute tech chat with Apple. No answers, so on to a tech call with them tomorrow morning.
