Half of MacBook Pro Trackpad Not Working

The left half of my MacBook Pro trackpad has become unresponsive, with the right half working fine, I'd normally take it into an Apple store but with lockdown I can't do that atm - any tips for what I can at home to help? I've tried resetting multiple times/running diagnostics but no fix so far! Thanks!

The newest Macs have a trackpad so big that when it came out the reviewers a made point to tell us it needed two trackpad controllers to run the whole thing. It sounds like one of yours has failed.

When keyboard or trackpad become unresponsive, part of the drill is to inspect your Mac for swelling battery, look for bulging top or bottom pale or seams opening up from inside pressure.

In the US, and some other areas, courier service is still available for things that may have a hardware component. This sounds like it qualifies -- contact AppleCare by using the "Contact Support" link on every web page.
