Mac not picking up interface audio

My interface (Focusrite Scarlett solo gen2) is picking up the signal from my bass, and the mac allows me to select the interface as the audio input/output on System Preferences and in Logic, but isn't picking up any of the audio I'm sending in nor playing anything back through the interface direct monitor output (output on interface still allows me to hear the bass I'm inputting).

This is the case both on Sound in System Preferences and Logic Audio settings/preferences not picking up audio from interface but acknowledging it's connected. Therefore I don't think it's a problem with the interface

Have only had this issue since updating either my OS or Logic (or both? can't remember which) Updated OS again but still no luck. Have checked privacy etc and Logic is still allowed to access microphone

Any ideas?
