Group Mail using BCC disclosed all reciepients names and email addresses.

When I attempted to send a group email of 9 people, I read about it and went to CONTACTS and created a new group and moved each person into that new group.

Then I formatted the email I wanted to send and placed the new group, by name, into the Bcc field. I entered the Reply to address and sent it.

When I looked, All the names and email addresses were visible to all the parties. Not cool fo this email!

Can someone help me avoid this in the future?!!

Hi, thank you for responding. I have attached a screen shot of what I see, maybe it will make better sense. I have marked up the actual names, but then I would click on them it reveals the email address. From what I understand, nothing should be visible in the Bcc field. Dan

Where did you look to see all the names? Your sent email will have them as you put them there.

Did the recipients see all the names?

You sure you used the Bcc field?

That's your email that you sent. Of course you can see the names. You put them there. It would be silly to send a message to a group of people, then have no idea to whom you sent it.
