Which Macbook for Quarantine

I have had my early 2015 macbook pro for a while but naturally it is starting to slow down. I am planning to upgrade for my 21st birthday present. I was wondering, since I am a student in Liberal Arts and due to quarantine I will be having several zoom calls each lasting around an hour or so - which laptop would be the most fitting for my situation?

Macbook Air 2020 (i5) or Macbook Pro (base model)?

THANKS

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

I can't really say, I do see posts about issues with Zoom and MacBook Air but I can't tell if it's a problem with Zoom software or something on the hardware side. So the best thing you could do is go with the MBP, although just because I'm not seeing any posts doesn't mean there aren't issues.

If it's the 13" MacBook you're looking at be sure to get at least 250 GB - 512GB storage and 16 GB RAM. That will future-proof it nicely as applications and systems keep requiring more and more resources.

That's not "natural". If you want to troubleshoot the issue you can run Etrecheck. It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.
