usb cant open files

Hello, I cant open files from my USB (Lexar 3.0). Im having two main problems. One is the when I click on the usb, it says loading and files aren't loading at all or takes a long time to load. Secondly, another filed called "completed videos" won't even open. The actual folder is even in a different shade. Whenever I try to add files to the usb, it gives me and error saying "finder error code -50"

Good afternoon theballershoots,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you are trying to open files on a Lexar USB thumb drive attached to your MacBook Pro. Have you been able to access files on this thumb drive in the past? Was the thumb drive formatted for use with a Mac? Are you able to view the thumb drive using Disk Utility? Do you have a second copy of these files somewhere else?

Try using another thumb drive with your Mac. If you are able to open files on a different thumb drive, then you may need to use Disk Utility to repair or erase the thumb drive and reformat it for Mac.

If you see an error in Finder or iTunes on your computer

Use external storage devices with Mac - macOS User Guide

Repair a storage device in Disk Utility on Mac

Take care.
