Quicktime player Quit unexpectedly

Hello. Recently I was trying to get some videos off of a SD card and my QuickTime player stopped working completely. Every time I attempt to open it or use it it gives me a error message saying that it quit unexpectedly. I have no idea what to do to fix it. I do a lot of editing now and that was my only way of taking clips off of my SD card. Any ideas??? I have already tried to open it in safe mode and with a test user. it did work with the test user but I don't know how to fix it still

Well, we know it's something in your user account that's causing it. Maybe if you can post an Etrecheck report we can figure it out. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.
