my friend has the same exact phone as me and she has live wallpaper and it works but it doesn’t work on mine
literally that’s so annoying omg
Is there anyway I can get my IPhone SE 2020 to support live wallpaper in anyway?
iPhone SE also has a small battery which adds to the issues, so iPhone SE cannot have live wallpapers.
It’s won’t let me set

I hate that you can’t
still no update? You gotta be kidding me??? It doesnt make sense. The heck?
I've read that it doesn't have live wallpaper because that requires 3D
which the iphone SE 2 doesn't have. iPhone SE 2 has replaced that with
hapic touch. 3D is now eliminated from the Apple lineup. it does have
dynamic wallpaper though which is even better in my opinion. Dynamic
wallpaper can be used on both the lock screen and the home screen and it
runs without touching the screen in a loop. Live wallpaper was only
capable of running on the lock screen and you had to touch the screen to
make it run. unfortunately you can't add your own dynamic wallpaper so
hopefully Apple will update with more choices in coming updates.
Apple needs to definitely implement an update that gives the iPhone SE 2020 the ability to use live photos because I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone SE 2020 and I tried changing my wallpaper to another live wallpaper yet it didn’t support it so now I lost my live wallpaper. I am very angry!!! Apple please update!!!
That is very weird, because I have tried countless times to get my phone to have live wallpaper, yet it will not work in any way. The only reason for why it might work for you, is because you either have a beta iOS 14 version that lets you do it, or you transferred your phone data from an older phone that let you have a live wallpaper. You must have done something different, stinkyRat cuz we rly have tried everything (short of jailbreaking at least).
Hello,
I am in possession of an iPhone SE 2020 and I have discovered quite conflicting things, that is, the iPhone SE 2020 at the beginning supported live wallpapers like all current iPhones, but for a while not anymore, I have informed myself well and have found that iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XR, iPhone SE 1a, iPhone SE 2nd do not support Live Wallpaper. The reason is that they have a technology called Haptic Touch and no longer the old 3D Touch, it is modern and theoretically better, but the question remains 1, why these iPhones that have the Haptic Touch a better technology than the old 3D Touch at first supported Live Wallpaper and now not?
So it means that even the iPhone 12 will not have live wallpapers as they have haptic touch and not 3D Touch.
But a doubt remains why Apple has decided to remove the Live Wallpaper on these iPhones that already had them at the start?
Anyway I wanted to congratulate those who had created the page relating to the Live wallpaper by marking only iPhone SE 1st / 2nd and iPhone XR, they can be a commercial choice, so people don't see the word iPhone 11 and are more drawn to the purchase or is it a typo ... Maybe a big mistake.
All this, however, I took it from the various pages of Apple where certain statements are contrary to others .... Great job anyway.
Hello,
So I did a bit of research on this issue, the fact is that 3D touch is a layer of the display that reveals the strong pressure imposed by the user while Haptic touch only detects a prolonged user touch.
But anyway in the past this function of the live wallpaper worked, so this is not the difference, I will try to update to iOS 14.1 (iPhoneOS 14.1 because in a while it will change its name 😐 in theory) and let you know.
But the hypotheses of the fact of the removal of the live wallpaper can be: the battery but there is nothing connected to the battery in this case, or certain bugs for the detection of the user's accentuated and prolonged pressure.
The second hypothesis is the best if you think about it because maybe your phone gets wet and Haptic touch detects that you are making a long press and starts the live wallpaper without your will, this in 3D touch does not happen because you are the one to impress the force. and for as long as you like.
To clarify the Hatpic touch is a software thing therefore more difficult to control than the 3D touch which is a layer of the display.
however, in my opinion this was the reason for removing this feature even if it seems a bit of a crap from this point of view 😑.
I’ve read every single response in this conversation and it appears the majority of comments are from dedicated apple users, who like me, have spend a small fortune on apple products. Although some may see this an a minor feature, it does not discredit a customers frustration over feeling deceived and mislead by Apple. As many others have pointed out, by using backed up data, they were able to use this function for a short time. So clearly the phone itself, along with its factory installed hardware has the capability to provide users with this function. However the question still remains…”will a future iOS update give SE(2020) uses the option to use Live wallpaper?”
It is obvious by the date of your responses, that you have followed this thread in its entirety. But do you realize that your rude and sarcastic responses have NEVER ONCE provided a clear and thorough explanation? Do you realize how unhelpful and frustrating it is for customers to simply be told “No” without you providing an explanation that’s relevant to the situation? We’re not imbeciles and I can ensure you the majority have done thorough research prior to buying their Apple product.
So if you cannot provide an explanation or an answer without giving FACTUAL and HELPFUL information, then may I suggest you leave it to the professionals or an actual Apple representative. Your rudeness is unwelcome…you sound like a self-absorbed narcissist, who hides behind the persona of a wanna-be Tech expert. Stop wasting our time…perhaps you need to first focus on learning the fundamentals associated with social communication before attempting to throw more BS, that you obviously cannot back up!
yes. usually when u have live wallpapers it pops up next to stills (premade ones) and i don’t have them 😞
