WiFi Interface is missing.
Hello guys,
Suddenly my Macbook Air (2017 model) stopped connecting to wifi.
- So, from Network settings, I set the WiFi inactive and removed it. But after restart, I don't see the Wi-Fi option to add from + icon.
- With suggestions from forums, I tried resetting SMC and PRAM/NVRAM. But it didn't worked.
- Then, tried to follow these commands, But commands showed error: all airport network services are disabled.
networksetup -setairportpower airport off
networksetup -setairportpower airport on
- With this command, It didn't list WiFi in the list.
sudo networksetup -listallnetworkservices
- Checked the System information and found this:
- Also tried to wipe-out files as mentioned here: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/284581/wipe-all-wifi-settings-from-macbook#answer-284588 It didn't worked.
- Finally, thought to reinstall MacOS, but I can't because it needs internet 😔
Based on other's suggestion, is it likely that wireless hardware is damaged and there is no real solution to it, without getting to the technician? I can't actually go out in this locked-down period, and need WiFi in my mac, desperately 😔
Any suggestion/feedback would be appreciated!
