Remove the protective covering on device before trade in?
Do I need to remove the protective covering from my device before trade in?
It is easy to remove, but thinking I should keep it on for extra protection during shipping.

If you are trading it in with Apple, you will receive a Trade In Kit which will protect it during shipping.
The instructions are to remove ALL accessories and restore the device to factory condition.
