volume stuck in silence

So my volume button from the control center is stuck in silence. I do have "Do Not Disturb "on, nor is my ringer silenced, nor is my phone bluetoothed to any other device. I cant figure out how to turn it back on. My phone wont ring or notify me when it is locked because of this. See image below which shows what I see with my sound volume. thank you for your help!

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities 90shepgirl,

I see that you're unable to adjust the volume on your iPhone in the Control Center. I can understand your concern, and I'd be happy to look into this with you.

If you're unable to adjust the volume from the Control Center, let's have you go in to your settings and see if you can adjust it there. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, make sure that "Change with Buttons" is enabled. Also, see jf you can adjust the volume there. Then restart your iPhone, and test again in the Control Center. The article below provides these steps as well.

Let me know how this goes and if you notice any changes.
