Emails Automaticlly Archived & can't be Deleted

Emails from some senders (notably Quora & TripAdvisor) seem to be automatically archived, and I can't delete them.

How do I -

[1] Delete them from the Archive folder, and

[2] Stop emails from these senders from automatically being archived

I've tried all kinds of ways to delete them and they always re-appear in the Archive folder; I want to read these but I rarely want to archive them. Some hidden flag/attribute? I'm not using a rule on these (yet).

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, dknodel2106!

I understand that when you receive emails, they're being put automatically into the Achieve folder. I'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

Go to the top-left and click Mail > Preferences > Accounts and check the mailbox behaviors for each of your accounts. You may also want to check the Rules tab just in case there is something set there.

Let us know the results.

Have a great day!
