icloud drive cannot be activated

In Settings / icloud, when trying to activate icloud drive, the buttons in the upgrade confirmation window do not trigger anything. I tried to tap several times on "Mettre à Niveau / Upgrade" or "Annuler / Cancel" buttons but with no effect.


Does anybody know what could block this action or is it a bug? Same issue on iphone and ipad.

Hello i_rina,

Actually I managed to resolve my problem when checking the first link you gave me. The issue was that my icloud.com account was wrongly setup, using wrong region and wrong timezone. After setting both to correct values, I was able to complete the activation of iCloud Drive on my iCloud, iPad and iPhone. Thank you for the hints.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help with activating iCloud Drive. I'll do my best to help.


It sounds like you are following the instructions here: Set up iCloud Drive. Have you tried setting up iCloud Drive on any other devices?


Have you restarted your iPad: Restart your iPad?


Is the iPad updated completely: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?
