touch id keeps failing

Hi

I have an iphone running 13.4.1

The touch sensor seems to be shot. it will recognize my print maybe 1 in 10 times. I got so fed up with it I wiped all print and re did them. For 15 mins or so it work consistently and well. Next day it simply will not work.

There are no errors or anything. I would just accept that perhaps my phone is broken, but curiously my wife with an iphone seven running 13 said last night 'oh your touch id is busted too'

Any thoughts on this, anything I can try, anything to diagnose?
