iPhone XR glass back shattered without dropping and in a protective case

I have found many owners of the iPhone XR with the exact issue as mine. It seems to be a problem with the manufacturing and it is horrible how anyone with this issue is being treated by Apple. I put mine in a protective case and applied the tempered glass screen protector before I left the T-Mobile store. I have never dropped, bumped, slammed, etc. my phone. I took my phone out of the case to clean it and the glass on the back was shattered. My tempered glass screen protector is still in perfect condition and there is no damage anywhere on the front, sides, and around the back camera. It would not be possible to shatter the glass on the back have no damage to any other part of the phone especially the tempered glass screen protector. The entire phone has to be replaced and apple will only replace with a refurbished iPhone XR. This is really sad and am so disappointed with Apple and the way they are treating their customers. I have owned almost every iPhones since the first was released and use all apple products (MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPad). SHAME on Apple.
