My phone all the sudden became frozen, hot and I can't restart or shut it off. How can I restart or shut it off without doing it on the phone?

Can you force restart it? Press the volume up button then release it, immediately after press the volume down button and release it then hold in the side button until you see the Apple logo then let go of the button.
