Split rows/columns in Numbers

Does anyone know how to split rows/columns in Numbers?

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

Use the Row Reference tabs to elect the rows you want to separate from the rest of the table.

Then click and hold on one of the selected tabs until the seection 'rises' from the rest of the table.

Keep the mouse button down and drag the selection away from the rest of the table. When there is a space equivalent to three rows or so between the moved rows and the rest of the table, release the mouse button to drop the new table onto the Sheet,


Rename the new table if needed.


Create a new 'test' table to do some practice on before attempting this on your 'real' table,

Also consider duplicating the file before starting. Makes it easier to get back to the starting point if things go wrong.
