MacBook Air camera not working

My MacBook front camera has been working fine for the last 2 months and when I have gone to make a FaceTime call today it has suddenly stopped working and the Mac is saying its not picking up a camera at all. I have looked at the settings and it seems to be set up still to work however it is not. What could be the problem and how do I resolve it please?
