Menu option when touching the apps

whenever I touch any application, there is always a screen coming up with various options (what to do with the app). How do I close it?

It sounds like when you tap an app, you are leaving your finger on the app a little longer than necessary to open it. Just touch the app quickly and release.

Tap an area outside the opened window or, if your icons are already jiggling, tap "Done" (upper right corner).
