Unlocking my device

I recently sold my iPad and unlinked it through Find my iPad. However person who bought it cannot unlock the device and is asking for my Apple ID and password. How do I help without giving this info?

How I can unlock a iPhone that I bought from someone and the device is locked with find my phone? I bought a phone that is locked with the find my phone! Don’t have a clue how this all work? All I want to know is what can I do? Is any way that I can unlock the phone or find the right owner! been to apple stores and they can’t help! thanks
